02.11.08. WSBK, Round fourteen, Portimao, Portugal, day three, race two. Troy Bayliss has brought the curtain down on his amazing career by taking the double win in race two at the Portimao circuit in Portugal today making it his eleventh win of the seaon and his fourth double of the year which brings his overall record to an amazing twenty six pole positions and fifty two victories and three world titles which rates second to the great Carl Fogarty's record which many believe Troy could surpass Fogarty's record if he choose to remain in world superbikes for next year, but it's something we will never know. The Xerox Ducati team had a double celebration today as Troy's team-mate Michel Fabrizio took second with british wild-card HM Plant Honda''s Leon Haslam in third.

02.11.08. WSBK, Round fourteen, Portimao, Portugal, day three, race one. Determind as ever Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss stormed from pole position in race one at the Portimao circuit in Portugal to take victory by almost four seconds ahead of Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Carlos Checa with Yamaha Motor Italia's Troy Corser taking third. With his final race of his career only a few hours away the legend that is Troy Bayliss will want to end his swan song on a high by taking one more victory before the curtain falls for the last time.

01.11.08. WSBK, Round fourteen, Portimao, Portugal, day two. In wet torrid conditions Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss stormed to pole position in the fifty minute wet superpole session where the top sixteen riders get a maxium of twelve laps to record their quickest time. Troy managed to set a blistering time of 1min 58.546 seconds to take his twenty sixth pole of his career ahead of British wild cards HM Plant Honda's Cal Crutchlow and Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Johnny Rea. With the title finally wrapped up Troy would like nothing else than a double win to end his career tomorrow.

31.10.08. WSBK, Round fourteen, Portimao, Portugal, day one. At the end of the opening day of the final round of the 2008 Hannspree World Superbike Championship at the newly built circuit at Portimao in Portugal Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss ended his day down in tenth as fellow countryman Troy Corser topped the time sheets aboard the Yamaha Motor Italia machine with British Wild-card HM Plant Honda''s Leon Haslam taking second and Xerox Ducati's Michel Fabrizio taking third. With conditions set to change for saturday's superpole Troy Bayliss will be eager to find a better set-up for sunday's races.

05.10.08. WSBK, Round thirteen, Magny-Cours, France, day three, race day. Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss took third in race one at Magny-Cours in France to take his third world title with the race win going to Yamaha Motor Italia's Nori Haga and Alstare Suzuki's Fonsi Nieto in second. Race two saw the battle between Haga and Bayliss go down to the final lap where the Xerox Ducati ace took the lead from the Yamaha star and take his 50th win of his career with Haga's team-mate Troy Corser bringing in home in third for the Yamaha squad.

04.10.08. WSBK, Round thirteen, Magny-Cours, France, day two, Superpole. Yahama Motor Italia rider Nori Haga smashed the lap record at the penultimate round to take pole position at Magny-Cours in France. The Yamaha ace set a time of 1min 38. 444 seconds around the French circuit to take his first pole position of the year ahead of Alstare Suzuki's Fonsi Nieto and Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss with Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Carlos Checa rounding out the front row in fourth.

03.10.08. WSBK, Round thirteen, Magny-Cours, France, day one. Wet weather welcomed the riders on day one at Magny-Cours in France as Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss opted to sit out the first free practice session but made up for it in the first qualifying session this afternoon by finishing second to Yamaha Motor Italia's Nori Haga with Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Carlos Checa in third and Alstare Suzuki's Fonsi Nieto in fourth. This weekend should see Troy take his third world title if everything goes to plan but the Aussie ace wil not count his chickens until he takes the chequred flag as disaster struck at Vallelunga two weeks ago when he crashed out in race two while lying in second on the final lap.

21.09.08. WSBK, Round twelve, Vallelunga, Italy, day three, race two. Nori Haga and Troy Bayliss fought tooth and nail throught the twenty four lap race at Vallelunga in Italy where Bayliss who was lying in second behind Haga and not knowing that team-mate Michel Fabrizio had moved into third and demoting Troy Corser in the process to fourth which now made Bayliss world champion for a third time crashed out with four corners to go on the final lap where Bayliss was able to remount and finish a lonely 16th behind Britains Chris Walker. Troy now has to wait to the penultimate round at France's Magny-Cours circuit on October 5th to be crowned world champion.

21.09.08. WSBK, Round twelve, Vallelunga, Italy, day three, race one. After starting from pole position and leading the race for the first two laps Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss eventually finished in sixth place in race one at Vallelunga in Italy. The race was won by Yamaha Motor Italia's Nori Haga with Sterilgarda Go-Eleven Ducati's Max Biaggi taking second ahead of Haga's team-mate Troy Corser in third.

20.09.08. WSBK, Round twelve, Vallelunga, Italy, day two. After seeing torrential rain fall yesterday the Vallelunga circuit which is forty miles north of Rome was bathed in warm sunny conditions for superpole as Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss took pole position with a time of 1min 36.606 seconds which was enough to deny Yamaha Motor Italia's Troy Corser the top spot on the grid by one tenth of a second with a battered and bruised Nori Haga taking third ahead of local hero Sterilgarda Go-Eleven Ducati's Max Biaggi rounding out the front row in fourth. If all goes to plan for Troy in tomorrow's races he will lift the world superbike title for a third time in his career.

19.09.08. WSBK, Round twelve, Vallelunga, Italy, day one. In wet torrid conditions Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss played it safe on day one at Vallelunga as he finished the day third fastest behind Sterilgarda Go-Eleven Ducati's Ruben Xaus with Yamaha Motor Italia's Nori Haga setting he pace despite two huge crashes the Japanese rider was able to walk away.

07.08.09. WSBK, Round eleven, Donington Park, Europe, day three, race day. In a two part race in race one due to Nori Haga's Yamaha spilling oil onto the circuit and causing a thirty minute delay the race was restarted where Troy Bayliss went onto take his first ever win at Donington Park ahead of wild card rider Rizla Suzuki's Tom Sykes and Sterilgarda Go-Eleven Ducati's Max Biaggi. In race two where a heavy down pour caused the rider change tyres from slicks to full wets, it was the Hannspree Ten Kate Honda rider of Ryuichi Kiyonari that went onto to take the win ahead of wild card rider HM Plant Honda's Cal Crutchlow with Yamaha Motor Italia's Troy Corser in third. Troy Bayliss crashed out of the race at the midway point while lying in second but was unhurt in the crash. Troy now has a massive ninety nine point lead over second place rider Troy Corser with Max Neukircher now in third.

06.09.08. WSBK, Round eleven, Donington Park, Europe, day two. In wet slippery conditions Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss set the fastest time in the one hour twelve lap shoot-out session where the fastest sixteen riders put in the best times for grid positions for tomorrow's races. Bayliss set a time of 1'44.377 seconds was the time that no one could beat and giving him pole at Donington Park.

05.09.08. WSBK, Round eleven, Donington Park, Europe, day one. In the final minutes in a wet rainy qualifying session Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss took provisional pole in a time of 1'44.377 seconds ahead of last time out Brands Hatch double race winner Ryuichi Kiyonari with wildcard entrant HM Plant Honda's Cal Crutchlow in third with the British duo of Rizla Suzuki's Tom Sykes and HM Plant Honda's Leon Haslam in fourth and fifth. With more wet weather forecast for the weekend it could go down to a one lap shoot-out for the fifteen quickest riders tomorrow.

03.08.08. WSBK, Round ten, Brands Hatch, UK, day three, race day. In race one Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss battled throughout the 25 lap race with Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Ryuichi Kiyonari, but it was the Japanese star that got the better of Bayliss to take his first win of the year with Sterilgarda Go-Eleven Ducati's Max Biaggi taking first. In race two it was the Japanese duo of Yamaha Motor Italia's Nori Haga and Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Ryuichi Kiyonari that hit the front with Troy Bayliss in third, but as the race went on Troy developed a tyre problem which eventually made him slip back down to eleventh where Kiyonari went onto to take his first double win of his career ahead of the Yamaha Motor Italia duo of Nori Haga and Troy Corser.

02.08.08. WSBK, Round ten, Brands Hatch, UK, day two. Superpole. Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss stormed to his fifth pole position of the year at round ten of the Hannspree World Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch in the UK. The Aussie ace set a time of 1'25.656 seconds ahead of the Japanese duo of Yamaha Motor Italia's Nori Haga and Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Ryuichi Kiyonari with Guandalini Racing Ducati's Jakub Smrz in fourth.

01.08.08. WSBK, Round ten, Brands Hatch, UK, day one. It was the Japanese trio of Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Ryuichi Kiyonari, Yamaha Motor Italia's Nori Haga and Alstare Suzuki's Yukio Kagayama that dominated the first qualifying session this afternoon at Brands Hatch in the UK. The Hannspree Ten Kate Honda rider clocked a time of 1'26.017 seconds around the Kent Circuit. Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss could only manage twelfth on day one as the top fifteen riders were all within a second of Kiyonari's fastest time. With final qualifying leading into Superpole tomorrow Troy hopes to find a good set-up for sunday's races.

08.20.07.08. WSBK, Round nine, Brno, Czech Republic, day three, race day. Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss achieved his dream by taking the double at Brno in the Czech Republic. The Australian ace won the opening race by 1.5 seconds ahead of Yamaha Motor Italia's Troy Corser and Xerox Ducati's Michel Fabrizio. In race two Troy got away with the race leaders where he played a waiting game behind Corser and Biaggi where he made his move on lap 8 and headed off for his second win of the day with team-mate Michel Fabrizio in a close second and Sterilgarda Go-Eleven Ducati's Max Biaggi taking third.

19.07.08. WSBK, Round nine, Brno, Czech Republic, day two, Superpole. In true Aussie style Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss took pole position ahead of sunday's races at the Hannspree World Superbike Championship at Brno in the Czech Republic. The 39-year-old Ducati star set a blistering time of 1'58.345 seconds ahead of Yamaha Motor Italia's Troy Corser and Xerox Ducati's Michel Fabrizio with Sterilgarda-Go Eleven Ducati's Max Biaggi in fourth. Heading off the second row in fifth is Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Ryuichi Kiyonari, sixth Xerox Ducati's wild card Niccolo Canepa, seventh Alstare Suzuki's Fonsi Nieto and Guandalini Racing Ducati's Jakub Smrz competing the second row in eighth.

18.07.08. WSBK, Round nine, Brno, Czech Republic, day one. Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss finished the first day of qualifying third on the time sheets for round nine of the Hannspree World Superbike Championship at Brno in the Czech Republic. The Ducati ace was on slightly off the pace of Yamaha Motor Italia's Troy Corser, but it was the home hero of Guandalini Racing Ducati's Jakub Smrz that topped the time sheets in front of his home crowd.

09.07.08. After two days of testing at the Official Hannspree World Superbike Pirelli tyre test at Vallelunga in Italy Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss left the Italin circuit in high spirits as he was pleased with the new rubber that Pirelli has brought along to the test. Troy Said "I was fastest on day one and the tyres felt really good on the Ducati as i tested seven pairs throughout the two days test, Pirelli have really hit the mark with these new tyres and it will be good to see what we can do when we come back to Vallelunga in september for round twelve."

29.06.08. WSBK, Round eight, Misano, San Marino, day three, race day. After finishing third in race one behind Alstare Suzuki's Max Neukirchner and Yamaha Motor Italia's Troy Corser, Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss opted for a softer rear tyre for race two as the tyre choice for race one lacked the grip that Troy needed to run with the front runners. In race two Troy got away well and diced for the lead with Sterilgarda Go-Eleven Ducati's Ruben Xaus and Max Biaggi where Troy was able to take to the lead briefly before being passed by Ruben Xaus, but Bayliss fought back only to run wide with four laps remaining and allowing Max Biaggi into second place but Troy tied to close in on the Italian but could not get close enough to Biaggi and had to settle for third. All in all it was a good day for Troy as he now leads the championship by 49 points over Alstare Suzuki's Max Neukirchner and Hannspre Ten Kate Honda's Carlos Checa.

28.06.08. WSBK, Round eight, Misano, San Marino, day two, Superole. Yamaha Motor Italia's Troy Corser made history today by being the first rider to take five pole position's at the Misano circuit. Bayliss who was leading the times with one rider remaining, Troy Corser produced a flying lap of 1min'35.993 seconds to take pole position ahead of his fellow countryman with a brilliant ride from Sterilgarda Go-Eleven Ducati's Ruben Xaus taking third ahead of Xerox Ducati's Michel Fabrizio.

28.06.08. WSBK, Round eight, Misano, San Marino, day two. On the opening day of qualifying Xerox Ducati's Troy Bayliss topped the time sheets at the end of day one with a time of 1min'38.865 seconds at the Misano circuit in San Marino. Bayliss's nearest rival was Guandalini Racing Ducati's Jakub Smrz from the Czech Republic with Yamaha Motor Italia's Troy Corser in third. Troy hopes to find a better set-up fro tomorrows Superpole as he feels the Ducati 1098 F08 has a little bit more for the final session tomorrow.
